The Mad-City Ski team won the 2007 Wisconsin State Division 1 Water Ski Tournament! 2007 Wisconsin State Tournament Results - Division 1

The Mad City Ski Team of Madison, the defending Division 1 state and national champions, proved victorious once again after winning the Division 1 title at the 41st annual Wisconsin State Show Ski Championships that was held Thursday through Sunday at Lake Wazeecha. Billed as the largest water ski tournament in the world, the event featured nearly 2,500 water ski athletes from 27 teams. In addition to the team competitions, individual state titles in swivel, doubles and team jumping also were at stake. Mad City won the title with 2,008.53 points out of 13 teams competing. The Rock Aqua Jays finished second with 1,983.92 points and the Webfooters placed third with 1,762.68. In Division 2, Beaverland Must Skis of Beaver Dam, the defending Division 2 state champions, retained its title after scoring 1,704.84 points. Brown’s Lake Aquaducks finished second with 1,644.62 points and Crivitz Ski Cats came in third with 1,453.8 points out of 12 teams competing. In Division 3, Three Lakes Aqua Devils of Three Lakes won the title with 1,184.63 points. In the individual events, Matt Klay and Bryanna Barkley won the doubles title with 17.46 points. Kelley Nemec earned the swivel title with 17.76 points and the Badwater Ski-ters won the team jump competition with 417 points.
